Produced from narrow longitudinal segment of longbone wall of large animal. Remains of marrow cavity continue down most of length. Fracture surfaces are totally unworked until final ca. 15mm when object is shaped into finely rounded tapering point, the lower extremity of which is broken. Upper sides taper gently but rate of taper is greater in round sectioned working end.
