Probably represents broken working end. Roughly round sectioned piece of bone, tapering in the round to sharp point which is very slightly curved to one side. Composed largely of spongy bone. No manufacture marks visible. Polish concentrated on both sides and around extreme tip of point suggesting that polish may be result of use. Point is perfectly intact.
