Blue glass bead from Dun Aonghasa, find no. 2863 (Group 3)

Complete; poor condition. Medium-sized dark blue glass bead. Flattened spherical in section; slightly off-centre, cylindrical perforation, 4mm in diameter. At edge of perforation, on one surface, is a tiny hole of ca. 0.5mm diameter which holds small, round metallic-looking object - may possibly be a stud? One side of bead is worn thin, with a crack in glass at this point. Edges of perforation are worn and chipped. Bead is a darker shade of blue than other Dún Aonghasa glass beads.
